Our Airborne RF Sensors Department has an immediate opportunity for a An Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead with experience in radar system analysis and mode development. You will join a dynamic team responsible for a state-of-the-art Airborne Radar System and will lead a Systems and Software team to facilitate algorithm development, software integration testing and delivery of fully qualified software builds for flight test integration activities. Additionally, you will coordinate with the Customer, Program Leadership, and configuration management to ensure all program deliverables are on time. Provide technical oversight and direction for the Integration and Test team to ensure efforts remain with contract scope and will report IPT status to the Program Chief Engineer and Program Manager. This is an On-Site role in McKinney, Texas.
What You Will Do
- Oversee and report on Engineering execution of cost (as CAM) and schedule (stand-up meetings, sprint retrospectives) on several SW Development programs via Atlassian products and PMX Tools
- Manage Engineering and customer deliverables
- Oversee algorithm and SW development activities, including requirements, prototypes, testing, validation, and flight test
- Sustain program financial reporting via weekly namerun evaluation, EV analysis, EAC support, and variance explanations
- Lead program staffing efforts
- Risk and Opportunity management
- Maintain and author ROMs/BOEs for new SW Development contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including direct customer and flight test community in regular (weekly, quarterly) formal meetings and frequent (up to daily) informal calls
- Develop novel radar models, simulations, and algorithms
- Work directly with software team to troubleshoot algorithms
- Operate radars in a test environment to validate simulations and software
- Analyze flight test data and identify algorithm improvements
- Validate requirements in a Flight Test Environment
- Work within a structured Systems Engineering process environment including a task-oriented, value-based management system
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline with ten (10) years OR an advanced degree with eight (8) years of work experience in the following areas:
- Radar system analysis and mode development to include software integration testing, verification and validation testing, product transition to production
- Computer programming language developed in one or more of the following, MATLAB, NumPy, Octave, SciLab, or MathCAD, C++ (coding experience is required to implement algorithms into the program’s digital system simulation model)
- Systems Integration, Validation, Verification and testing activities of complex products and systems
- Prior leadership experience managing system development, integration, and verification tasks
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Airborne radar systems engineering experience to include requirements development, radar algorithm development, verification and validation of algorithms, and flight test data analysis
- Terrain Following concepts, algorithms, and supporting navigational modes used on special operations platforms
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Agile/Scrum development environment
- Managing work products in Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Verification and validation of requirements in a Flight Test Environment
- Proposal technical and cost estimation efforts (including BOE writer certification)
- Experience generating tech volumes
- MATLAB (analysis) and DOORS (requirements)

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
