Job Title: Shop SupervisorJob DescriptionThe Shop Supervisor supports the Director of Operations by overseeing the daily workflow of the repair shop. This role ensures that parts are received, inspected, repaired, tested, and shipped accurately and on schedule, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The Shop Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating technicians, managing work orders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Responsibilities- Ensure incoming parts are received correctly and entered into the system promptly.
- Plan daily repair activities and adjust schedules to meet customer needs.
- Ensure technicians follow established processes, procedures, and safety practices.
- Create work orders and monitor progress on the shop floor.
- Complete data entry in internal systems and customer portals.
- Attend weekly management meetings and present objective KPI data.
Essential Skills- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9110, 14 CFR 145, EASA 145, or similar quality standards.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the aviation industry.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Planning skills to create daily and weekly work schedules, eliminate bottlenecks, and maintain workflow.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changes without disrupting shop workflow.
- Critical thinking, logic, and analytical skills.
- Understanding of quality and inspection practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Previous experience working in an FAA 145 repair station.
- Previously held an FAA Repairman Certificate or A&P license.
- Forklift experience.
