What you will do:

We have an immediate need for a Senior Supervisor, Material Verification and Control. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Quality and Mission Assurance. As Sr. Supervisor, you will lead a team of Mission Assurance compliance technicians and support Raytheon ELCAN CORE methodologies and Operating systems by optimizing resources and improving efficiencies as we implement changes to support the growth at ELCAN. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN

Responsibilities:

  • Lead with Raytheon ELCAN professional values of respect, trust, and team collaboration.
  • Coach and develop quality technicians’ skills, establish job expectations and manage work performance.
  • Able to plan, perform and support operation with addressing the risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain, implement and improve quality control procedures and inspection process.
  • Direct and ensure compliance with the First Article Inspection (FAI) process in alignment  to internal quality standards and external audit requirements.
  • Maintain a structured efficient and productive work environment that supports both individual employee success and team performance.
  • Ensure that CORE standard operating procedures and processes are aligned for  continuous improvement in cost centre function (cost reductions, use of resources, policies/procedures).
  • Oversee processes to verify and maintain accurate records of material origins, certifications and lot control in accordance with industry requirements.
  • Participate in performance improvement processes through CORE. To drive existing and future improvement projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material verification processes to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, procurement and quality assurance to resolve material issues and ensure smooth production flow.
  • Collect and analyze data on material discrepancies and inspection trends to report performance metrics and support decision making.
  • Ensure all material handling and verification processes are compliant with international trade regulations, such as Controlled Goods,  ITAR and EAR
  • Communication to company stakeholders including supporting Tier and Production Priority meetings.
  • Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure that the Occupational Health and Safety Act is being followed and that management of change procedures are followed.

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field.
  • Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading quality initiatives in a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Experience with Quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO13485, or equivalent. 
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, capable of interpreting complex data sets and making informed decisions.
  • Experience with hardware inspection and Ability to work with technical engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques and process controls.
  • Must have an excellent knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent coaching skills, inspires by example, unwavering commitment to excellence.
  • Strong decision-making skills and consensus building ability.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good team player and possess a “can do” attitude.
  • Exhibits strong ability to follow rules / regulations; including Environmental, Health & Safety, and Raytheon ELCAN policies.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of CORE principles, production systems and team member roles and responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of supervisory responsibilities within the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience.
