Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will focus on projects / process improvement to ensure that products are manufactured with the appropriate safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery. In addition, the site Lean Leader will:
Drive lean activities through the evolution of the GE lean proprietary system at all levels of the business organization at the Hungary GE Aerospace facility
Transform the GE Aerospace Hungary site through implementing and executing lean methodologies to achieve world class single piece flow through a pull system across all manufacturing process in the GE Aerospace facility
Utilize experience & expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short and some long-term goals
Demonstrate Leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for identified model business unit(s)/areas
Cross functionally influence multiple business Lean Leaders / support teams and drive best practices in process design and implementation
Help drive engagement with site business leaders to collaborate in Lean initiatives that foster goal attainment for current and future business needs
Advise and counsel leaders and teams on issues impacting Safety, Quality, work in-process flow, and inventory aligned to the site goals of meeting our customer expectations
Create the lean vision and implement the lean strategy to meet our customers quality and delivery expectations
Drive measurable improvements in productivity and product flow
Lead Kaizen events, develop pull systems, train personnel and other activities to achieve a world-class lean process flow
Champion change across the organization to foster the growth in Lean and site teaming journey
Bring new ideas, motivation and positive support to all levels of the Hungary team
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with several years of experience in manufacturing / quality improvement or production support position (Including a strong experience in leading people)
Strong experience in Manufacturing, quality improvement, people leadership (Including experience in Lean methodology and/or Six Sigma tools; ability to drive improvement strategies while coaching leaders through problem solving techniques)
