This position is for a Senior Manager, Supplier Management Customer Critical Team (Level M) within Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supplier Management that will be responsible to lead a diverse team responsible for high volume commodities. The ideal candidate for this position will possess in-depth knowledge and experience with procurement of in-production and out of production supplier proprietary components, and the capability to lead in a dynamic and fast paced environment. This leader will also be responsible to ensure processes are streamlined to enable flexible and agile procurement to support the BGS business in a competitive and global spanet place. You will need strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills to build and enhance relationships with internal stakeholders and key external suppliers in Seattle, WA or Dallas, TX.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: Seattle, WA or Dallas, TX
Position Responsibilities:
Manage employees and managers from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and commodity management and processes and supplier diversity.
Develop and execute organizational, business and technical strategies, goals, objectives and related metrics to ensure alignment with company vision/strategy. Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. Builds strategic partnerships with suppliers and/or organizations to advance Boeings position. Build organizational culture that values open and honest communication.
Lead organizational initiatives to evaluate and improve programs, products and processes. Ensure organization-wide implementation of process improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Capability Maturity Models). Work with other senior leaders to streamline processes across organizational and functional boundaries.
Ensure organizational, business and technical strategies, goals and objectives related to highly complex and strategic negotiations aligns with company vision/strategy. Meet cost savings/affordability targets. Measures progress to plan. Holds negotiation team accountable for achieving goals. Participates in negotiations as necessary.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience managing supplier relationships.
Experience in Supply Chain Management and Procurement work and/or general Business Operations.
Experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain Planning.
Supplier management or Supply Chain management experience.
