Job Description SummaryGE Aerospace’s Edison Works business is embarking on an exciting journey to implement a greenfield SAP S4/HANA deployment starting in 2024 to meet expected engine growth starting in 2026 and beyond. To enable a successful SAP deployment and sustainment, GE Aerospace is hiring multiple Digital Technology roles to administer, configure and program manage the new SAP instance. These roles will work upfront to blueprint GE’s business, partner with a system integrator to deploy SAP S/4 HANA, and ultimately act as product owners of modules within SAP: Order-to-cash, Inventory, Procurement, Finance, and Integrations. You will be responsible for operating with business partners and technical teams to create a clear strategic direction for the SAP deployment and run.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participating in gathering requirements, including leading, designing and providing guidance on recommendations
  • Collaborating with the business on current processes and proposing solutions to enhance current processes, including advising on system options, risk, cost vs. benefits and impacts
  • Navigating with broader GE Aerospace ecosystem to ensure Edison Works business follows enterprise standards and can integrate with other enterprise systems (e.g. MES, PLM)
  • Ensuring all systems are aligned with the IT long term strategy
  • Identifying, recommending and implementing configuration solutions and implementing full cycle configuration to meet business needs, while creating and updating associated documentation
  • Setting testing strategy for modules and leading end to end integration testing
  • Participating in the delivery of project and minor/major releases
  • Troubleshooting and leading the evaluation and design of the correction for complex incidents
  • Maintaining a high level of functional competency regarding the standard configuration of the Order-to-Cash, Inventory, Procurement, Finance and Integrations, by staying abreast of new trends, future enhancements and leveraging best practices

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years professional experience OR associate degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School diploma with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with SAP; preferred to have some S4/HANA experience
  • Due to the nature of the work being performed this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

NOTE: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with the SAP ECC, HANA & Oracle db
  • Understand concepts of setting and driving functional & technical direction
  • Understands ITIL framework and have leveraged the same in at least 1 prior project.
  • Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills; and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions.
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm with the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Have worked on a cross-functional team; is aware of business priorities and organizational dynamics.
  • Ability to work with global teams, act independently and also as part of a team.
  • Open-minded to new perspectives or ideas or unusual solutions when appropriate
  • Communicates in a clear and succinct manner.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain business processes
