Essential Responsibilities
Execute with limited guidance the assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements.
- Serve as the Certification Process Coordinator/Leader for Entire Certification Team.
- Serve as the prime Certification point of contact for the assigned programs to the A&C group.
- Develop and present all materials to the GE ODA and/or the FAA in support of certifications.
- Formulate, recommend, and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules, and contract commitments.
- Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to certification questions/issues.
- Provide technical guidance to Rotorcraft personnel and related teams.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments.
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering position.
- Minimum of 1 year of turbomachinery experience.
Desired Characteristics
- Previous engine certification and/or program requirements experience.
- Experience working with the A&C organization and ODA structure.
- Experience interfacing with the FAA Engine Certification Office.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to guide and influence others.
- Demonstrated process orientation.
- Engineering experience within multiple turbomachinery disciplines.
