As Rivalta Plant Process Improvement Quality Leader you will Lead Rivalta Plant processes improvement (Transmission, Rotating Components, FDGS), coordinating the relevant resources and activities and ensuring that they yield positive impacts on productivity, cost, customer fulfillment and compliance.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Driving actions for MRB reduction by championing the Lean and Six Sigma culture in solving problem to drive systematic analysis & improvement actions and ensure completion through the control phase

  • Leading the Escape Prevention Plan, contributing to RCCA definition and implementation in cooperation with business functions, ensuring effectiveness of countermeasures

  • Leading the Defect Reduction Plan, managing process improvement initiatives across all the business to drive improved FTY

  • Leading the operational Cost of Quality reduction plan (Quarantine, Losses, blocked stock, aged wip) driving preventive and recovery actions within CoEs

  • Working closely with CoE/BU leaders, Global Supply Chain Leadership team and cross functional Avio Aero Leadership team to develop and drive operational processes improvements which directly impact productivity, cost, customer satisfaction, and compliance

  • Promoting use of existing digital tools (digital stamping, PQN) by facilitating their use within the different CoEs; cooperate with Digital team to define and implement real time solutions to measure and monitor feature/process capability

  • Integrating with cross functional business functions (engineering, programs, HR, etc.) to develop solutions to complex issues that provide the best outcomes for the business

  • Developing inspection strategies including technology improvements where needed and lead execution of that strategies

  • Working closely with Lean Org to lead quality projects within Hoshin Kanri, Shinji/Kaizen events

  • Sharing best practices and lessons learned, teaming with manufacturing and engineering

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university

  • Deep Knowledge of problem solving methods and tools (RCCA, 8D, APQP) and proven experience in executing and driving process improvement projects in complex manufacturing environment

  • Strong relevant experience in quality control/process improvement and/or manufacturing engineering roles

  • Ability to develop and energize teams to achieve business objectives

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects

  • Results driven with proven process orientation

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including strong influencing skills

  • Fluency in English and in Italian

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Certified, or in process of certification, Lean Six Sigma (BB / MBB)

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Established project management skills

  • Prior experience in Operations will be a plus
