Job Description SummaryThe Lead Quality Management Specialist is responsible for product quality review associated with customer contractual and GE quality system requirements. We are looking for a seasoned individual with a deep understanding of concepts, approaches and methodology used to assure customer satisfaction and compliance to quality system. This individual should also have a level of expertise in the technological field including the quality assurance of products, services and manufacturing processes.

In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

You will be supporting both military and commercial engine lines across LATO.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as focal for the implementation of customer contractual requirements of production and development engines
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to implement changes to procedures to lead process improvements
  • Coordinate with Customer, Project, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve customer findings
  • Lead investigations related to quality issues - create 4 blockers describing investigation/action status – present to plant leader at bi-weekly quality meeting
  • Become certified in military customer requirement systems and achieve clearances needed
  • Operate as a data system expert , develop and provide training to broader Lynn Engine Assembly focals
  • Identify/implement corrective actions for quality issues
  • Assure compliance to local quality control instructions and business policies.
  • Update and/or create quality procedures
  • Serve as focal for internal and external audits (DoD, DNV, FAA, etc.)
  • Support and Lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis events
  • Support Quality CCC, present quality metrics
  • Input and influence decisions within own discipline and area
  • Solve issues and develop new and innovative approaches to problem solving

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality)

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
