47.00 - 62.02 per hour
Morson are currently recruiting for the enablement team within one of our clients that build defence focused marine vehicles. You will project manage elements of the delivery organisation, build teams, testing and platform engineering together to support the delivery of the programme. Therefore, an experienced project manager within the Aerospace, Defence or Marine industries would be a strong match for this role.
The role is being offered on a 12-month contract, with an expectation of being full time on site in Barrow-in-Furness across a 37 hour week. We can offer the role at a rate 47 per hour PAYE or 62.02 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the successful integration of the required stakeholders to support delivery of the Whole Boat build and test schedule.
- Support Plan reviews.
- Ensuring that the critical path key Work Orders are being progressed to support the Plan
- Support Integrated Planning to support Key Build Activities
- Identify potential schedule delays and intervene to prevent them occurring, implementing rectification activity as required
- Support defect reviews with the relevant trades to ensure defects are being actioned in a timely manor
- Operating to the System of Work
- Update commentary on relevant slides for weekly area performance review
Essential Requirements
- Experienced Project Manager with extensive knowledge of tools, techniques and practices.
- Analysis of key programme metrics.
- Able to support critical path management.
- Experience of influencing, communicating with and managing stakeholders.
- Able to follow established procedures as well as know when to break from them to problem solve.
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to understand and follow policies, procedures and business plan.
- Professional PM Qualification or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management.
Desired Requirements
- An Assessor for LCM Reviews, including the Bid life cycle.
- University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry.
- Recognised as a Project Management practitioner.
- Experience across the project lifecycle of both business winning and in-service support.
- Been involved with a project where the MoD is the primary customer.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
