Job Summary
As a member of the Global Helicopter team within the Military Avionics & Helicopter organization, the channel Value Stream Leader (VSL) leads the IPT through the life cycle responsibility for Civil Helicopter programs. This includes business pursuit and capture, program executions, customer delivery and support. As such, you will be accountable for sales and profit objectives.
Qualified candidates should have a background in avionics products and systems and project management with experience leading and managing product or system developments. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to apply strategic insight and critical thinking in solving complex problems. Candidates will also balance technical knowledge and business acumen to manage assigned programs.
Job Responsibilities
Work with the Integrated Program Team (IPT) on Pursuit and Order Capture (P&OC) including most important requirements, competitive face-off, customer contact plans and related actions.
Leads international programs with the accountability to ensure adherence to program plans, schedule and budget.
Responsible for risk management
Ensure all required resources such as engineering, production, services, subcontract and the like are available to meet the programs commitments.
Develop strong relationship with Customers to execute flawlessly the programs through:
Program Management Review
Scope monitoring and negotiation
Milestone achievement
Cash collection
Firm and anticipated Orders management
Identify and cultivate opportunities with customer to grow spanet share.
Monitor and report internally progress against financial objectives.
Lead program status reviews to senior leadership and executive level on occasion.
Supports preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (S&FP).
Competencies & Behaviors
Master’s Degree or equivalent, with significant experience in the business engineering domains and/or Program Management.
Fluent in English.
Understand the VSL role, as part of the Collins Management System (CMS) process
