Production Manager

Job Description:

To effectively manage the factory work operation in the execution of the overall production plan whilst driving down process cost
To effectively manage the manufacturing team on a daily, weekly & monthly basis to delivering products to an agreed schedule and within defined costs.
•tBe responsible for the manufacture and/or delivery of product to customer requirements.
•tPlan resource to meet production output.
•tCo-ordinate production loading plans with cross-sectional Managers.
•tIdentify and address training needs to maintain quality output in accordance with the Quality Procedures.
•tPromote a Lean environment.
•tContribute to the strategic development of the Company.
•tAccurately report on KPIs.
•tMonitor and report on budgets and targets.
•tImplement working practices to reduce health and safety risks to as low as is reasonably practicable.
•tTo become the lead, mentor and developer within the team

Job Requirements:

Supervisory / Management Educated
Sound knowledge of lean and problem solving tools
Previous experience of leading a team within a high density business
Demonstrable experience of driving a culture of lean and continuous improvement
Familiar user of Microsoft packages
Familiarity with M3 or associated software

Change Management experience
Risk Management experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to analyse information
High attention to detail
Able to build strong working relationships
Displays energy and enthusiasm in improvement ways of working
Respectful of other colleagues in carrying out duties
Root cause analysis, Corrective actions, 4D, 8D problem solving. QRQC Problem Solving.

Ability and flexibility to travel to other ZSUK sites if required.
