Job Summary
The Performance Excellence Manager is responsible provide support to ground handling and fueling locations across North America. You will be responsible for partnering with Swissport’s front line Station Managers to drive consistency at stations for customer benefit and the benefit of our people, upholding standards through ways of working, coaching and mentoring. This role is integral to the success of the organization as it serves as a liaison between field locations and divisional support teams providing mentoring, development, project management and KPI improvement. Your activities
- Provide temporary, operational and management support as business development opportunities materialize (major customer start-ups, opening of new stations, etc.)
- Manage corporate based projects and initiatives
- Implement Swissports Operational Model across North America including, global standards, processes and tools, all with a clear strategy and roadmap including continuous quantification and reporting
- Foster an efficient and high-performance continuous improvement mindset that drives faster execution of plans and better utilization of assets on a local level
- Deliver with enthusiasm onboarding to new leaders and provide tool kits to be successful in their roles
- Co-ordinate cadence to ensure effective communications and delivery of actions on local level
- Assure and support seasonal readiness of Swissports operational units (adequate planning / preparation, successful execution of plans, support in specialized areas like winter operations)
- Provide interim management for organizational units on short notice both on station management level and in specialized functions; support provision of interim resources on front-line level
- Temporarily deploy to field locations and provide support in improving ill performing KPIs
- Other administrative functions as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies
- 5 years’ leadership experience with P&L responsibility in the Aviation Industry
- Extensive people management experience at mid to senior level with the ability to motivate & inspire all in the achievement of corporate, departmental and individual objectives
- Excellent working knowledge of business management principles and practices, financial concepts, and key drivers of profitability and operational performance.
- Strong strategic skills and commercial acumen combined with the ability to motivate teams to deliver high quality standards
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional, internal and external work relationships with all stakeholders and interest groups
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
- Play a key role in organizational culture & style whereby all colleagues are empowered & valued
- Proven track record in managing change in both business development and delivery
- Organizational skills and ability to structure and coordinate a range of duties and meet deadlines
- High level negotiation and influencing skills with managers, staff and customers
- Ability to travel up to 100 of the time; including ability to travel on short notice
- Flexible approach to working outside normal hours will be required
