Prestwick Aerosystems is proud to continue Ayrshire’s long-standing aircraft manufacturing tradition. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. The Opportunity:

To lead the team and undertake the day-to-day management, coordination and development of a large Operations Team to successfully execute customer contracts and meet agreed customer schedules, specifications and cost targets.

How you will contribute to the team:

You will lead, motivate, and appropriately challenge your team to drive continuous performance improvement against the company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

You will provide clear direction and ongoing support to team members, ensuring production targets for your area are delivered within agreed timescales.

You will ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining required quality standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements.

You will prioritise and allocate both direct and indirect resources effectively to meet business and operational needs.

You will identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities, focusing on cost and time reduction, waste elimination through lean practices, and maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping.

About you:

HND/HNC in business studies or equivalent operational experience within a manufacturing environment

Effective planning, problem solving and decision-making skills

Strong technical and lean practitioner skills to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction
