Job Summary
As Manager Operations, you are ultimately responsible for the execution of activities and daily management of the Operations Control Centre (OCC) at Brisbane airport. You are the point of contact on behalf of the management team for internal and external customers regarding operations and raising problems and progress of processes. Assisting in determining the correct and safe use of equipment and materials is a top priority, and you ensure that this is complied with.
Your activities
Manage service levels and deliverables for our airlines, focusing on a safe working environment and assessing our teams on the platform.
Key point of contact for internal and external customers on operational matters.
Collaborate together with the ramp manager to ensure smooth operation of services and scheduling.
Develop optimal personnel planning, depending on the workload.
Responsible for drawing up damage reports to freight and materials;
Provide correct reporting of service progress, staff deployment, materials and special features on a daily
basis;
Ensure compliance with agreements made regarding work instructions, leave and working and rest times;
Submit proposals for the purpose of conducting an efficient operation;
Ensure that quality is guaranteed and that the SLAs agreed with customers are complied with.
Provide feedback to Resource Planners, Duty Managers, Operations Leaders and Manpower Planning as required on the effectiveness of planned rosters vs coverage on the day of operations
Managing a team of workforce coordinators
Ensuring all resources are allocated appropriately
Overseeing resourcing of all operations
KPI checks / billing
Overseeing daily operational activities to ensure productivity and efficiency
Overseeing EA staffs fatigue levels and overtime
Continuously proactively identify the most efficient way to safely cover the work and meet our service objectives
Identify and make recommendations to improve safety, efficiency, performance and culture as they relate to both tactical resource planning and general operational matters.

Your profile
Experience in aviation and working for ground services
A few years of experience in a (similar) position and working environment.
You have experience with management.
Excellent communication skills
Strong problem-solving skill set and focused on continuous improvement
Willingness to work during irregular shifts.
Very strong problem solving-skills and attention to detail
