Akima Global Logistics is looking for an experienced Motor Pool Supervisor to work in Huntsville, AL supporting Marshall Logistics Support Services contract. The Motor Pool Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and technical management of daily Motor Pool operations at the Marshall Space Flight Center. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of government vehicles and equipment while providing leadership, technical expertise, and administrative oversight to Motor Pool personnel.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical advice and oversight to Motor Pool personnel during day-to-day operations.
- Provides prompt and efficient management of MSFC’s equipment.
- Provides methods and recommendations for Government consideration of maintaining and repairing the equipment.
- Ensures all workload data (e.g., problem isolation, corrective actions, notes, and material cost documentation) is accurately input in the MSFC Work Control System and tracked through service request closeout.
- Certifies Preventive and Predictive Test and Inspections are scheduled and executed according to approved plans.
- Proficient in RCM analysis and implementation.
- Oversee updates to equipment manuals, schematics and drawings, and ensure other appropriate equipment histories are maintained
- Manage and schedule the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and prioritize Trouble Calls (TC) and unscheduled maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate vehicle and equipment recovery services, fuel station operations, fuel delivery, bus transportation, and support for GSA vehicles.
- Develop maintenance plans and Job Hazard Analyses to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- OR 10 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. citizenship and REAL ID required. Must meet federal requirements for access to government information; dual citizenship may affect eligibility.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation, obtain access/clearance to Redstone Arsenal and MSFC, and pass a drug screening.
Preferred experience:
- Heavy equipment repair and/or related training and certifications
