- Essential Responsibilities:
- Ongoing/recurring presence in K5 and or other similar cleared facilities for both employee and customer interface
- Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel
- Work collaboratively across product lines and across disciplines and organizations
- Promote technical excellence within own section and support groups through design/technical review participation, lessons learned awareness and application, DFR/DFSS, and technical innovation/growth fostering
- Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved
- Establish / modify / monitor overall engineering program requirements, timing, and resources of section and support groups to meet / exceed business objectives and goals
- Effectively communicate technical and financial aspects of section activities vertically and horizontally in the organization
- Ensure positive actions are taken to encourage growth, technical development, and improved interpersonal skills
- Create robust engagement strategy and operating rhythms
- Ensure compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented
- Implement initiatives to continuously improve responsiveness of the section / organization to customer / business needs
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 8 years of technical leadership experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance
Desired Characteristics:
- Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Prior experience with a focus on managing multiple technical programs and designing and developing new products related to solving product issues
- Experience in Controls Systems engineering
- Be a change agent capable of influencing at all organizational levels
