Job Description:

SUMMARY

Responsible for the coordination of all MD Helicopters marketing & communications needs with a focus on trade shows, customer events, trade publications, MD apparel, MD websites, and social media. Additionally, provide marketing, communications, and advertising support to the MD sales team, sales representatives, and the MD network.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Work with senior leadership to develop the annual trade show plan, budget, and attendee lists. Once established, execute the plan on schedule, within budget, and per requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and payment terms for all events.
  • Supervise and arrange display aircraft, manage booth set up, dismantling and cleaning, and manage logistics coordination for all events, to include helicopter demonstrations.
  • Negotiate with design house on booth layout and cost.
  • Coordinate creation of event graphics-displays and manage inventory of booth components and literature distribution.
  • Coordinate lodging, badges, and travel plans for all attendees.
  • Communicate pertinent information regarding the show dates and schedule of events to the company’s show participants.
  • Arrange the press conference as needed for senior leadership, and coordinate article submission for daily show publications.
  • Create agendas and identify locations for corporate events including, retaining necessary vendors, pre-planning, onsite event management, catering and AV rental.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive library of product photos and marketing videos.
  • Develop and maintain LAN based market research database that includes proposal templates, presentations, pricing and product information, competitive information and electronic photos.
  • Coordinate and maintain the content of the technical brochures and options catalogs.
  • Maintain the content of the mdhelicopters.com website.
  • Coordinate media correspondence and internal communications as needed.
  • Analyze and provide metrics on current social media presence.
  • Develop analysis of MDH social media presence within our current competitive landscape.
  • Work with senior leadership to create and implement social media campaigns that support product, mission and geographic business objectives.
  • Develop rolling content calendars to allow forward planning and ensure consistent, engaging interactions with followers.
  • Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas to increase interaction and grow audiences across all channels, provide metrics to validate efforts.
  • Create content that results in a high rate of engagement/conversion.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Photography and/or videography editing skills.
  • ADOBE Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Video Editing, etc.).
  • Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload within department.
  • Ability to successfully coordinate efforts of staff outside of individual’s span of authority.
  • Up to twenty-five (25%) travel required with significant customer interface.
  • The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.
  • Access to Export Control Information.
  • Regular attendance.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university (business, marketing, aviation operations or similar discipline) and 3 - 5 years work-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
