Job Summary
Ensure that proposal bills of material are properly costed to enable the successful submittal of proposals. Audit costed BOM to ensure no material was missed. Evaluate business forecasts and pinpoint any areas of vulnerability of company requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Lead activities of material proposal submittals. Ensure that bills of material are properly costed and submitted timely to support proposalsResponsible for the direct management of activities within the Pricing Department and provide leadership to staffManage day-to-day activities related to the development, evaluation and implementation of pricing strategies and modelsEnsure that all pricing analyses are conducted in compliance with corporate policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulationsEnsure compliance with Pricing policies and procedures and DCAA requirementsInterface with outside or internal auditors as necessaryRecommend pricing strategies that best utilize staff to achieve long- and short-range goalsReview and recommend estimates of labor, material, equipment, and other direct cost structuresEnsure staffs compliance with cost and pricing volume, establishing and coordinating schedules, cost/price model development, and cost narrativeEnsure the completion of assignments within extremely tight and strict proposal schedulesDraft new policies and procedures and/or revise existing ones for approvalPrepare and maintain a comprehensive set of Standard Operating Procedures for the departmentEnsure the development and implementation of pricing databases and proposals across the organizationFoster career development for departmental staffDetermine group and individual training needs, develop curriculum and coordinate internal or outside trainingPrepare, review and approve performance appraisals and conduct performance reviewsInitiate, prepare and manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when performance is unsatisfactorySelect, train, develop, mentor and supervise staffSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationMaintain current knowledge of relevant regulations, laws and best practicesProvide advice and assistance in pricing matters to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with 7+ years of directly related experience in a government contracting environment including supervisory/management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Advanced knowledge of the FAR, DFAR & CAS
- Advanced knowledge of all types of contracts (T&M, CPAF, CPIF, CPFF, FFP) and cost/price analysis
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
The expected pay scale for this position is $130,000 - $203,000. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
