About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the integrity of the global cargo revenue stream by identifying and preventing potential revenue leakage due to fraud, errors, or inefficiencies. Additionally, you will oversee the process related to the accurate and timely verification of cargo shipments.
The role involves management of processes, monitoring activities, and implementing strategies that protect the companys revenue from mismanagement or financial discrepancies, to improve overall profitability and ensure that all revenue streams are secure and efficiently managed.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Safeguard the companys cargo revenue by detecting and addressing discrepancies, fraud, and/or revenue leakage and ensure the integrity of cargo revenue through regular audits of quotation, billing and invoicing processes
- Monitor cargo operations to prevent revenue leakage due to errors, mismanagement, or fraudulent activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could affect cargo revenue, including financial, operational, and external factors and work with internal and external teams to investigate any suspicious activities or inconsistencies in revenue generation.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness of revenue protection strategies and minimize risks and develop and implement strategies to identify and prevent revenue loss caused by fraud or unauthorized activities within the cargo business.
- Oversee management of AWB verification pre-billing process ensuring checks are done accurately and timely as per SLA by third-party service provider.
- Enhance AWB verification process with the objective to reduce cost & dependencies, improve SLA and automate mundane activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on revenue protection efforts, discrepancies found, and actions taken and train and support staff on revenue protection best practices, helping them understand how to avoid errors and detect issues early.
- Promote awareness across the organization about the risks to revenue and the steps required to mitigate them
- Support the resolution of any issues or disputes related to cargo revenue, ensuring timely collection and minimizing the risk of outstanding payments and oversee the system transformation, people centralization and standardization of dispute management process.

Qualifications
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 9 years of job-related experience, preferably within the cargo and logistics industry
- A strong understanding of pricing models, billing cycles, and the factors affecting cargo revenue.
- Ability to analyze large sets of data to identify trends, patterns, or discrepancies in cargo revenue and billing as well as ability to evaluate risks that could lead to revenue loss and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Expertise in preparing detailed reports for senior management, highlighting revenue protection efforts and financial discrepancies.
- Experience in implementing process changes to reduce inefficiencies and safeguard revenue.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple revenue protection initiatives concurrently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various departments, including Finance, Operations, and Legal, to address revenue-related issues.
- Strong attention to detail to identify billing mistakes, discrepancies, or fraudulent activities that could affect revenue.
- Familiarity with tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present financial data in an easy-to-understand format for management.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of accuracy and revenue protection within the organization.
