We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Calgary, AB Base. Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance the Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance department and shall meet the requirements of CAR’s 573.03 & 706.03. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all maintenance activities at all the Central Mountain Air maintenance bases. This is a technical position and requires significant industry experience and a strong understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulation in regard to all Maintenance activities.
Job DescriptionOversee all maintenance activities at all the Central Mountain Air bases.
Support Maintenance staff recruitment, staffing and hiring.
Identify performance and personnel issues of maintenance personnel and take the necessary actions as required.
Assist Base Engineers to ensure that bases have adequate equipment and tooling to perform the assigned maintenance tasks.
Expedite maintenance and parts requirements while coordinating with Maintenance Control and the various support staff to ensure minimal impact on scheduling during irregular operations.
File SDR’s in liaison with the Director of Maintenance and Quality Assurance Manager.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Person Responsible for Maintenance delegate in the absence of the Director of Maintenance.
Required Skills & Knowledge Valid AME M2 license required, with a minimum of five years of experience on DHC-8 and /or Dornier 328 experience.
5 years of supervisory experience in an aircraft maintenance capacity.
B1900D experience an asset.
Must be able to obtain a Restricted Airport Identification Card (RAIC).
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong decision-making skills.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, meeting constraining deadlines.
