Essential Responsibilities:
- Trains, develops, engages, mentors, inspires, and provides ongoing leadership and direction of the front-line hourly manufacturing employee population for the assigned production lines and supports the site’s teaming initiatives
- Owns employee performance management and development including priority setting, touchpoints, coaching, development plans, performance reviews, career discussions, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure a fair and consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices to promote a compliant work environment
- Provides leadership to a team that builds a team environment with safety as a top priority
- Provides leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to quality, cost, production, delivery, and compliance
- Responsible for knowing the schedule, knowing trends for misses/issues, and coaching Production Specialist(s) on implementation
- Assess capacity and process capability to specify organizational needs to meet customer delivery and turnaround time requirements
- Collaborates with Materials, Customer Service, other departments, and outside vendors to fulfill production requirements
- Communicates key business/customer issues to employees
- Supports Senior Operations Manager(s) in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment, and other resources
- Prepares and presents key information supporting meetings and trainings
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Required to achieve and maintain a FAA Repairman Certificate to oversee employee training and cross-training
- Willingness and ability to work any shift, flexible hours, and weekends
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:
