Position Summary
The Vice President of Flight Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the seamless
integration of operational support and safety initiatives. This position oversees Flight Support, Safety,
and Compliance departments, ensuring all flight activities are conducted efficiently, reliably, and in strict
adherence to regulatory and safety standards. The role drives operational excellence, promotes a strong
safety culture, and supports compliance efforts to maintain the highest standards of service and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the flight operations department to ensure legal, safe and efficient operation.
• Responsible for development and enforcement of department policies and for ensuring
compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations governing those flight activities.
• Optimize dispatch reliability and operational efficiency across all flight operations.
• Oversee timely flight planning, crew scheduling, request-to-book (RTB) processes, client
services, travel and logistics coordination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Lead safety audits and ensure findings are addressed effectively and in a timely manner.
• Regularly review and update the Safety Management System (SMS) and Emergency Response
Plan (ERP).
• Responsible for all aircraft and pilot record keeping requirements and the proper maintenance
and disposition of those records.
• Oversee the management of PRIA requests efficiently and accurately.
• Oversees the scheduling of FSI training classes to meet pilot
• Maintain and manage accurate pilot records to comply with federal and organizational
standards.
• Ensures that qualified and current pilots are assigned to each flight and that each flight has a
designated Pilot-in-Command.
• Conduct investigations in cooperation with government agencies to determine causes of
accidents or incidents and to improve safety procedures
• Actively suggest ideas of improvement to senior leadership
• Maintain the highest degree of knowledge in the companys manuals, FAA regulations, letters of
interpretations, and applicable laws
• Represent the company in a professional manner at trade shows and industry/spaneting events
• Be available on nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Some travel may be a requirement.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements

required to:
• Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to three (3) hours per day and
sit for up to five (5) hours per day.
• May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. to the height of 4 feet and up to 20 lbs. to a height of 7 feet.
• May be required to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• On occasion, must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee
and reach above/below shoulders.
• Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee
encounters while in an office environment. The work is typically done while sitting at a desk or table.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The employee may spend time at the company’s aircraft hangar, where he/she will be subject to and
exposed to an environment that is not temperature controlled and can be extremely loud.
Experience & Qualifications
The most successful candidate in the position will meet most, if not all, of the following criteria.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or related field;
• 8-10 Years of management experience in aviation operations, including flight support, dispatch,
safety/compliance functions.
• Expert level knowledge of FAA regulations as it pertains to flight operations aircraft
maintenance
• Working knowledge of OSHA and company requirements.
• Knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to supervise a team.
• In-depth knowledge of flight line operations, aircraft/vehicle movement, and safety/hazards.
• Some travel may be required.
• Advanced technical writing knowledge and experience within the aviation industry.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office and applicable suite of products.
• Fluency and knowledge of applicable industry specific-software tools, including FL3XX highly preferred.
