ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

The Integration & Delivery Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that SITA’s Borders integrated product set is fully deployed, validated, and ready before being delivered into customer environments. Acting as the central facilitator, the Integration Manager oversees the flow of quality-controlled, integrated product versions from development through to in-country deployment.

They own and govern the core integration environments and serve as the key link between product development, customer delivery, and support teams. The role is accountable for ensuring a continuous stream of rigorously validated, stable, and compliant product versions - including both business logic and non-functional attributes - reaches customer sites with minimal disruption.

This position is pivotal in championing T&E’s shift toward more innovative, automated, and customer-centric approaches to delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Coordination and Enablement

  • Serve as the communication hub for the status of the integration environments and the products deployed there. Providing clear reporting on the performance of the environments (e.g. down-times between deployments, environment reset times) as well as the progress and status of specific system releases.
  • Facilitate collaboration between product developers, customer delivery teams, and test engineers to resolve issues discovered.
  • Enable customer delivery teams by providing them with product versions that have met stringent functional and non-functional criteria.
Managing the Core Product Pipeline
  • Facilitate the seamless flow of product changes through the integration environments.
  • Coordinate a release calendar that balances the need for functional and non-functional testing with the demand for frequent, small-batch upgrades for customer delivery teams.
  • Minimize disruption to customer delivery by ensuring upgrades are stable, performant, and well-communicated.
  • Encourage continuous improvement by investigating deployment issues and feeding back suggestions to the product teams. The product teams develop automated deployment for their products, but the Integration Manager will lead on ensuring automation strategies are compatible.
Integration Environment Strategy & Management
  • Accountable for the smooth operation of the integration environments. Working with the relevant teams to ensure the environments are ready for feature, regression, security, resilience, and compliance validation. Ensuring infrastructure, configuration, data sets, telemetry, and testing tools are maintained.
  • Ensure product builds deploy cleanly and pass functional and non-functional tests to minimise issues during or following deployment to in-country customer environments.
Drive Continuous Improvement of the Integration Pipeline
  • Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of both integration paths, using metrics to find bottlenecks in functional or non-functional validation.
  • Drive automation in both testing streams to increase the speed, reliability, and frequency of quality assessments.
  • Foster a culture of shared responsibility so that all quality attributes, functional, performance, resilience, security, and compliance are considered from the outset.
  • Champion “shift-left” approaches by identifying tests in the integration environments that could be or already are done earlier in the relevant pipeline.
  • Champion AI-driven test optimization, such as intelligent test case selection and prioritization, to reduce execution time while maintaining coverage.
  • Promote the use of generative AI to create synthetic test data, reducing dependency on production-like datasets and accelerating test readiness.
  • Leverage AI/ML tools to analyse integration pipeline telemetry and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or redundant processes.
Identify and Encourage Cost and Efficiency Savings AI
  • Collaborate with DevOps to introduce anomaly detection models to proactively identify unusual patterns in deployment behaviour, system performance, or test failures.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to integrate AI-based root cause analysis tools that reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR) for integration issues.
  • Evaluate AI-powered observability platforms to enhance monitoring, alerting, and predictive maintenance of integration environments.
  • Champion AI-assisted documentation and knowledge management, enabling faster onboarding and reducing manual effort in release coordination.
  • Track and report on AI-driven efficiency gains, such as reduced deployment times, fewer integration failures, or lower infrastructure costs.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in release management, integration management, test management, or a technical lead role in complex, multi-stream environments.
  • Experience managing releases within DevOps-oriented organizations.
  • Demonstrable experience coordinating functional and non-functional testing strategies, including security, resilience, and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and CI/CD practices (e.g., feature toggles, trunk-based development).
  • Hands-on experience delivering products into air-gapped customer environments.
  • Experience with linear (PMBOK) and iterative (Scrum, Kanban) project methodologies.
  • Experience applying AI/ML to optimize integration pipelines and delivery processes.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted documentation and knowledge management.
  • Formal training in project management is preferred.
