Job Description SummaryThe GE9X Product Line is focused on producing a safe product that meets airline and airframe expectations for reliability and profitability, delivering timely and accurate support for stable airline operations, and developing customer relationships that earns trust in our products. GE9X is also at a critical point in its lifecycle with EIS set for October of 2023. This role will be an integral part in setting business priorities both internally and with our RRSPs. Essential Responsibilities:
As the GE9X Lifecycle Cost Leader, you will be responsible for facilitating the development and communication of technical programs and business metrics, including, but not limited to:
- Effectively communicate with program manager & finance to assure quality financial models and risk are captured for the program
- Own GE9X program recurring MCRB meetings
- Develop Lean standard work templates as well as Action Plans for GE9X MCRB and AUC
- Own RSP recurring MCRB meetings
- Support RSP business case studies as required
- Work with engineering to document development engine & compliance engine learnings
- Fleet Model TOW, Cost, & repair assumption Inputs
- Repair engineering workscope prioritization and strategy
- Support MRO readiness for EIS
- Workscope planning guide support
- Producer value finalization and communication
- Support PCB with business plan execution tool analysis
- Support PSE leading indicator programs
- Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and customer commitments
- Support negotiations with LRU suppliers on aftermarket agreements
- Support negotiations on repair specifications with CSA customers
- Travel globally as required
- Drive change by demonstrating clear thinking, articulate roles & responsibilities, manage hand-offs between different organizations
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects/tasks consistent with MCRB policies and procedures
- Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in an aerospace or mechanical engineering position
Desired Characteristics:
- Advanced Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- MRO Shop or airline shop experience
- Previous experience in Aviation engines / systems / aircraft / repair or turbo machinery
- Familiar with GE Aviation long term service agreements, customer / product support role functions (CPM / CSM)
- Previous experience working within GE RSP relationships
- Previous experience working with Finance or with financial models
- Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities
- Previous experience in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with aircraft flight operations
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
