Job Description

Essential responsibilities:

  • Keep up to date of current fire safety codes and procedures and GE Aerospace requirements.
  • Conduct and evaluate all evacuation drills and procedures.
  • Responsible for inspection, testing and maintaining all Fire Protection and life safety equipment pre–GE Aerospace requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining hot work permits program.
  • Responsible for maintaining confined space program.
  • Responsible for locating or identifying hazardous conditions and fire code violations.
  • Responsible for the emergency response program.

Minimum qualifications.

  • Bachelors Degree (or 5+ years equivalent work experience)
  • Must have previous training, work experience, and background in emergency response and fire protection
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally or written.

Eligibility requirements

  • This role is restricted to US persons due to access to export control technology.

Desired qualifications

  • Fire science education
  • Emergency response certification
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes and testing requirements
  • Understand fire codes and regulations for the state of North Carolina.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prepare comprehensive, accurate, timely, and neat written reports.
