Job Description SummaryThe Financial Communications Manager will produce and develop materials for investor events and reports, serving as a spokesperson with media on financial topics, supporting executives on their communications strategies, and educating and engaging employees around company strategic and financial updates. This role reports to the Director, Financial and Executive Communications. It fits within GE Aerospace’s communications organization and partners seamlessly with teammates across investor relations, finance, legal, business development, and HR.

In this role, you will find a unique opportunity to help build the story and engagement around a significant and public company transformation. You’ll work closely with C-suite executives and teams from across the world to demonstrate GE Aerospace’s progress, performance, and path to growth in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Direct involvement with the development of messaging and content to reach key stakeholders including GE Aerospace’s beat reporters, investors, customers, employees, communities, and the general public
  • Produce materials for financial events including earnings, investor presentations, M&A announcements, Annual Report, and Annual Shareholders Meeting
  • Partner with Investor Relations to drive retail investor engagement strategy, including the production and growth of GE’s investor newsletter and website
  • Support communications strategies for executives in Finance and Business Development, including on employee, earned, owned, and/or social channels
  • Serve as company spokesperson on both a reactive and proactive basis

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Public Relations from an accredited university or college
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience within a global or public company setting or communications agency/ firm, focused on finance communications

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, in Communications or Public Relations from an accredited university or college
  • Experience in finance, accounting, capital markets, and/or industrial environments
  • Proficiency absorbing, digesting, and distilling highly technical subject matter into clear and concise content
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple simultaneous priorities to meet aggressive deadlines with high standards for quality
  • Collaborative partner able to build trusted relationships internally and externally
  • Strong executive presence and comfort interacting across all levels of an organization
  • At ease adapting quickly to new or changing environments
  • Experienced or curious about data analysis and its applications to communications
  • Experienced serving as a spokesperson with media

The base pay range for this position is $127,500-212,400. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
