Job Summary: 

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance mechanics, and leading reliability program initiatives.  

Essential Functions:

  • Develop schedules, sequences, and assignments for mechanic work activities
  • Develop, implement, maintain and improve the equipment reliability program
  • Monitor employee work levels and review work performance
  • Monitor tool and part inventories, and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions
  • Investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare incident reports
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions, including hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures
  • Compile operational and personnel records, including time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures
  • Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies
  • Examine equipment, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs
  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use
  • Lead and participate as a member of the Site Emergency Response Team
  • Any other task assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance and repair, including prior experience in a maintenance leadership position
  • Knowledge: Must have a full understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); equipment reliability practices; and maintenance processes
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Must demonstrate good leadership and people skills
    • Ability to plan, schedule and review the work and performance of subordinates
    • Capable of handling a crew of skilled craftsmen
    • Ability to handle the stress of dealing with multiple tasks at once
    • Ability to make decisions quickly during crisis situations
    • Computer literate and able to work within a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Education/Certification: High school diploma required. College, technical or trade program education is a plus.
  • Eligibility Requirement: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes; hazardous equipment and materials
  • May wear Specialized Protective or Safety Equipment such as Breathing Apparatus, Safety Harness, or Full Protection Suits
  • May be exposed to high places including spending time climbing ladders or scaffolds
  • May spend time kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling
