The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintenance of heating, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, painting, masonry, carpentry, custodial services, production equipment and all mechanical repairs. Resolves emergency calls for heating, electricity and plumbing for all buildings in accordance with established policies and procedures, and at the least possible cost.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•\tOne year certificate from college or technical school; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Language Skills
•\tAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. -Basic
•\tAbility to write routine reports and correspondence. -Basic
•\tAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization –Basic

Mathematical Skills
•\tAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. -Basic
•\tAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.-Basic

Reasoning Ability
•\tAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. -Basic
•\tAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.-Basic

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
•\tNew Jersey Fireman's High Pressure Boilers License
•\tIndustrial Fire Training
•\tKnowledge of systems including:
\tElectrical Blue Print Reading
\tGeneral Blue Print Reading
\tPlumbing
\tWelding
Heating and Air Conditioning, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities
•\tSupervisory responsibilities includes supervising four mechanics.

•\tIn order to carry out the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to have clear vision at 20 inches or less, clear vision at 20 feet or more, ability to identify and distinguish color, ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point, three dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships, ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
