Job Description SummaryThe Flight Test Operations Facilities Leader will coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems critical to the safe operation of the FTO facility. The experienced professional will possess the skills and knowledge to lead the facilities maintenance team, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues with minimal supervision and guidance. This individual will drive best practices, have a lean mindset and be forward leaning.

Roles and Responsibilities

 

         Perform daily monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems.

         Troubleshoot and repair of manufacturing and utility equipment/systems such as pumps, motors, control valves and cylinder.

         Support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability targets.

         Required to do other maintenance work such as general repair, carpentry, electrical and plumbing works according to standard.

         Supervise and coordinate with contractors and vendors on works according to schedule maintenance, repair, shut down and overhaul works.

         Ensure maintenance work done comply to local regulatory, corporate safety and industrial standards.

         Able to provide simple report on downtime and ensure action follow up to prevent recurrence of breakdowns.

         Ensure all documentation and data is complete, accurate and current.

         Keep track of spare part and inventory usage to maintain spare part/inventory control.

         Provide feedback and give suggestions to improve equipment stability and performance.

         Participate and contribute actively in continuous improvement activities.

         Responsible to day to day electrical/machinery maintenance and repair works

         Provide support in the service, repair and maintenance of all facilities including compressor, fire prevention system, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

         Preventive maintenance of facilities, machines and equipment on a day-to day basis

         Service, diagnose and rectify faulty electrical and mechanical components and air-conditioning equipment

         Ensure that maintenance cover for production areas is provided at all times by demonstrating flexibility regarding working overtime to provide cover for holidays, sick leave, shutdown periods, busy periods and as required.

         Assist new colleagues on their On-the-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy.

         Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the production and maintenance support areas.

         Respond to emergency calls for any troubleshooting required at site.

         Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

         Participation on a cross functional team as part of Kaizen/Lean type events.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years additional experience in facilities, equipment, and tools in an industrial environment
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible and off-shift hours (including 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, nights, weekends, and holidays) when business needs dictate.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to and support operations at offsite locations when business needs dictate.
  • Ability and willingness to fly aboard an experimental aircraft including participation in development flight tests.
  • Able to obtain and maintain FAA Class-3 medical certificate or equivalent.
  • Ability to work at heights above 50 feet.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

The salary range for this position is 87,300.00 - 116,400.00 - 145,500.00 USD Annual. The specific salary range offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. [If applicable] In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
