SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Advanced knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and related federal and state legislation regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of Cost Accounting and Cost Accounting Standards. (CAS)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex business situations.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, with an ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively build internal skills.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- High levels of intellectual curiosity
- Strong bias for action
- ERP system experience: knowledge of JD Edwards preferred.
- Experience in adhering to established deadlines.
- The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required.
- The ability to meet multiple, tight deadlines in a hard-charging turnaround environment.
- Regular attendance at the worksite.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field with 10-15 years relevant Defense or Aerospace industries experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience required working in a turnaround environment.
- Hands-on experience in FP&A, preferably in a commercial or U.S. Department of Defense aerospace manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years in a standard cost environment.
- Experience with government contracts.
- Experience dealing directly with DCMA and DCAA.
