- Strong understanding of quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Leadership and management skills, including the ability to build and motivate teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially for identifying root causes and developing solutions for quality and safety issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with stakeholders and providing training.
- Project management skills for implementing new initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
- Establish, maintain and optimize an effective quality management systems (Part 21 Production and Part 145 Repair Station).
- Drive continuous improvement in the quality systems.
- Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Quality Management).
- Extensive experience (typically 7-10+ years) in EHS and/or Quality leadership roles, preferably within the specific industry.
- Production Certificates/Repair Station 21/145 Certificate experience required.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable FAA regulations as well as previous experience interacting directly with the FAA required.
- ISO/AS9100/AS9110 Experience required. Quality system experience associated with US government contracting, DCMA oversight and interface.
