Job Description:
The Digital Sourcing & Licensing Manager is responsible for digital sourcing and software licensing governance within Digital APAC while managing the operational end-to-end purchasing of services, software and hardware assets. This role ensures cost optimization, license compliance and synergies across the region in support of Airbus’s digital transformation and financial objectives.
Primary Responsibility:
Lead the sourcing, purchasing and software lifecycle activities within Digital APAC.
Drive the strategic and operational end-to-end sourcing and purchasing of services, renewals, software and hardware assets, providing execution support to the Digital APAC team as required by operational demand and capacity.
Coordinate sourcing and license management activities in support of Digital APAC’s products and services, fostering and recommending opportunities for consolidation, optimisation, rationalisation and cost reduction.
Define and implement software lifecycle management and operational monitoring processes, in alignment and collaboration with the Digital teams in Airbus Group.
Actively monitor contracts, suppliers and software license compliance and lead audits across Digital APAC’s landscape.
Collaborate with key APAC stakeholders (including Procurement and Finance) to establish processes, methods and tools to govern the Digital APAC’s contract landscape.
Ensure software licensing records and usage are captured, tracked and updated in a Software Asset Management (SAM) tool.
Maintain a solid understanding of Airbus’s data governance and export control requirements, ensuring strict adherence to accompanying policies and proactive identification of compliance risks.
Secondary Responsibility:
Contribute to the performance of Digital APAC’s Domains by understanding the business user needs and expectations.
Participate in and contribute to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reviews.
Ensure knowledge is captured, updated, and made visible through knowledge articles.
Outputs:
Financial optimisation through rigorous budget management and measurable savings as a result of software license rationalization, reharvesting and contract consolidation.
Risk mitigation and operational excellence through a compliant license landscape and proactive resolution of audit exposures.
Efficient end-to-end execution of digital procurement requests, ensuring assets are delivered according to business requirements.
Personal & Interpersonal Skills:
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex licensing terms for diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to build long-lasting, collaborative relationships in a multinational and multicultural environment.

Ability to support group programs and manage high-complexity situations.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and a commitment to working effectively within a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree in IT/Information Management or a related discipline.
- Desirable: Relevant industry certifications such as ITIL, COBIT or Change Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT Management, specifically within Sourcing, Procurement, or Software Asset Management.
- Proficiency in IT & Business Strategy Alignment, IT Product Design & Development, and Service Level Management.
- Proven experience in partner, subcontractor and stakeholder management.
- Solid understanding of data governance and export control requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an international environment and manage change effectively.
