Reporting to the Manager – OCC Planning and Program Delivery, the Deliver Manager – Operations Control Centre (OCC) Planning is responsible for the delivery of all OCC Commercial Operations programs and supporting the OCC Commercial Operations teams. They will be expected to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal business units and external vendors and represent the OCC Commercial Operations teams by providing specific needs, timelines, and departmental factors to development work. The Delivery Manager – OCC Planning will ensure smooth delivery of programs by through coordination of training with the OCC Training and Standards team, communication, and change management by focusing on safety, cost, frontline engagement, and efficiency.

Specific responsibilities and deliverables:

• Collaborate with other departments and OCC Leadership to develop and implement OCC Commercial Operations programs and program changes. Ensuring that proper requirements, timelines, and deliverables are created.
• Create project schedules and oversee activities for initiatives and programs. Engaging appropriate OCC Leadership when required to eliminate barriers and highlight when project timelines are at risk.
• Maintain logs for risks, issues, actions, and decisions to ensure proactive handling.
• Prepare status reports, presentations, and documentation for initiatives to keep stakeholders informed.
• Collaborate with OCC Leadership and support staff to create workshops, advise on training requirements, and ensure proper change management processes are followed. Ensuring that efficiency is maintained, and frontline engagement is prioritized.

Qualifications:

• Minimum three years airline operational experience a strong asset.
• Current enrollment, progress towards, or completion of a Project Management Certificate considered an asset.
• Experience with WestJet operational systems is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills with the capability of establishing respect and credibility through actions.
• High degree of motivation and commitment to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.
• Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal guests.
• Ability to manage stressful situations and perform steadily under pressure.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
