Crafted for an ambitious brand & spaneting professional, the Brand Propositions role at Virgin Atlantic offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is naturally insightful, innovative and strategic and is interested in tackling the ever-changing travel landscape. This role will leverage consumer insight and commercial & brand understanding to support development of brand strategies and customer propositions that will help improve our Net Promoter Score (NPS), strengthen brand power and unlock incremental commercial growth. Acting as the ‘guardian’ of the strategy and strategic proposition, the role will collaborate closely with the Consumer & Customer teams to support validation & sizing of propositions and proposition execution, ensuring strategic alignment at every point.

  • Supports key projects with in-depth planning and design of brand strategy and innovation concepts, with proven ability to deliver to objectives and within defined timescales.
  • Works closely with Consumer & Customer Insights team and conducts personal data analysis to generate insights that can be leveraged for new brand strategy and proposition development.
  • Stays on top of the latest trends and brings these into strategic development and insight creation and leverages macro trends to map opportunity spaces
  • Supports development of brand & customer strategy & a connected propositions roadmap for 2025 - 2030 which delivers NPS & brand power targets
  • Builds cross-functional relationships across internal teams, connecting the dots between people, projects and partners through effective collaboration and working closely with collaborators and customers.
  • Collaborates with Consumer & Customer Insights and commercial teams to identify how to value and size built propositions
  • Collaborates with Virgin Group and other Virgin Companies to find opportunities for strategic brand partnerships for mutually beneficial outcome
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure new initiatives are brought to life in a manner consistent with the overarching brand-business strategy
  • Supports the development of arguments to support NPD, effectively rallying organizational resources to deliver
  • Supports Senior Manager in sharing and embedding projects effectively beyond the immediate team, ensuring they deliver maximum value across the wider business

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in a strategy role in a client-side or agency environment, demonstrating the ability to use strategy to drive innovation or brand frameworks.
  • Evidence of leading or supporting concept development in a previous role.
  • Experience in using consumer insights (qualitative and quantitative) to develop strategy and NPD.
  • Familiarity with strategic brand and innovation frameworks to develop positioning strategy, brand propositions, or innovation concepts.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking & strategic evaluation skills
  • A passion for trends and innovation.
  • Collaborative influencing skills – both across department peers and within small project teams.
  • Evidence of working comfortably in a highly ambiguous environment.
