As an Associate Program Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to manage our cost, schedule, and engineering deliverables, ranging from small to highly complex, for Army Aviation Programs. Youll be responsible for conducting routine meetings, interfacing on project/program status, developing proposals, researching/fact-finding, coordinating audits, and negotiating with project/program stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
- Managing direct program cost at a granular level and be able to explain cost variances to program managers, directors and business operations personnel in monthly program management reviews.
- Managing direct program schedule and be able to explain schedule variances to program managers, directors and business operations personnel in monthly program management reviews.
- Present program status material to USG external stakeholders and internal stakeholders
- Conduct risk review meetings with technical and management teams
- Communicate and coordinate with engineers for monthly program status updates
- Communicating and coordinating with all functional areas of business including but not limited to: Accounting, Security, IT, Operations, Engineering, Business Operations, Billings, management, facilities, procurement
- Take ownership of numerous responsibilities and have a strong ability to prioritize and execute.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in project or program management
- Proficient in reviewing documentation associated with Request for Proposal (RFP).
- Experience with developing budgets and managing projects to those budgets.
- Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and drive others to success

- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Experience with systems and tools used for successful Program Management execution (Microsoft Office Suite, Program Lifecycle Management, Enterprise Customer Relationship Management, Tempus Resource Management, etc.)
- Understanding of data architectures
- Basic level knowledge of organizational quality standards, AS9100, ISO9001, CMMI guidance and SNC policies
- Experience with contract types, principles, and practices, including contract negotiation
- Capability to manage program lifecycle conflicts, prioritize competing priorities/requests, and evaluate available resources
- Experience with risk management planning and documentation
- Experience with supporting scope management, program control through concept objectives, and development, implementation, and termination phases.
