Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supervisor of Assembly (Level 3) to lead a team responsible for assembling components, subassemblies, and completed units in support of aerospace manufacturing operations. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure quality standards are met, and drive operational efficiency while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Team Leadership & Workforce Management: Supervise and coordinate a team of assembly technicians, overseeing hiring, training, performance assessments, and work assignments.
Production Oversight: Ensure assembly operations adhere to quality, schedule, and cost objectives, supporting on-time delivery of products.
Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, implementing improvements to enhance productivity.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Address technical and operational challenges, leveraging root cause analysis to drive effective solutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize assembly processes and meet production goals.

Who You Are
• A hands-on leader with experience in aircraft maintenance, aerospace manufacturing, or related industries.
• A results-driven professional who can effectively lead, mentor, and motivate teams.
• Someone with a strong understanding of production operations and manufacturing processes.
• A problem-solver with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
• A collaborative communicator who can work effectively across multiple functions.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in Aircraft Maintenance, Aerospace Manufacturing, Automotive, Space, or Transportation industries.

• Background in Production Operations or Manufacturing.

• Experience Leading
Desired Skills:
• Background of 5yrs experience needed for this position.

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Minimum of 5yrs experience working within manufacturing environment.

• Thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills a must.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
