What you can expect as an Aircraft Prep Operational Supervisor at West Star:
The Aircraft Prep Operational Supervisor will report to the Aircraft Prep Manager and have shared responsibility over the Aircraft Prep Department within a defined region. The Supervisor will oversee the leads and technicians who will ensure the professional appearance and stocking of inventory on aircraft that are brought to the company for service. This important position will follow the specifications of the contract to ensure all aircraft are ready for crew members and passengers. The Cabin Prep Supervisor must be able to lead a team effectively, maintain a high level of detail, exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, and be focused on delivering exemplary customer service.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
- Co-direct all aspects of the Aircraft Prep Department within a given region.
- Effectively lead a team of Aircraft Prep Specialists.
- Oversee the inventory supply & demand.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for crew members and external customers.
- Ensure that the equipment and tooling needed to support the department are readily available.
- Monitor and enforce employee scheduling needs and workflow of department to support the contracted work.
- Work with other team leaders to ensure work processes meet expectations.
- Oversee, monitor, and adjust as needed regarding the quality of work being performed.
- Work with customers, project managers and operations leaders to ensure success on each job that is assigned.
- Escalate areas of success and concern as needed so senior leaders have transparency and knowledge of the department.
- Expand the capabilities of the department to meet the needs of the company.
- Work independently, take initiative and delegate responsibilities as needed.
- Follow all established guidelines for quality and safety.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English

What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent. An associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and aviation cabin prep experience. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.
Your Experience :
Prior experience in detailing or cleaning is preferred. Experience in the field of customer service and leading a team required. Airline experience a considerable advantage.
Your Initiative:
We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
Your Sense of Responsibility:
Ability to lead a team of leads and technicians by incorporating varied forms of communication methods (i.e. team meetings, oral and written updates, daily delegation, etc.)
Attend work every day as scheduled.
Notify manager in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Must perform work in accordance with FAA guidelines.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits and a positive customer service environment.
Must provide quality detail work to customers.
Follow all company safety rules during the performance of duties.
Must be able to represent the company in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of service with a responsive approach and positive attitude.

Lifts 40 lbs.
Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp with hands, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and/or maintain balance.
Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
Climbing ladders and work on elevated platforms (up to 40 ft. in the air) using fall protection safety gear if needed.
Working on various stands in and on aircraft wing areas on a routine basis
Pass a Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certificate as required.
