Welder
Archbald, PA
Contract Position
At Moseley we are supporting the largest defense contrators Missile and Fire Control program. The efforts of our employees are the key to the newest innovations in defense and aerospace.
Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG and/or MIG welding on complex drawers, cabinets, and subassemblies with high precision and attention to quality.
- Set up and maintain welding equipment, using fixtures or table setups to ensure correct shapes and dimensions.
- Weld with tight tolerances, minimizing warpage and distortion through proper sequencing.
- Prepare parts for welding by cleaning, shot-blasting, and straightening distorted components.
- Apply metal flame spray when needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in TIG and/or MIG welding on aluminum, steel, or stainless steel.
- Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, chisels, squares) and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, scales).
- Familiarity with welding symbols and the ability to read fabrication prints and sketches.
- Basic knowledge of metal groups including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
