Position Summary
The Manager of MTX Operations is responsible for fostering and leading relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve top-tier operational performance. This position will provide third party oversight as it relates to maintenance and ground operations and be responsible for outstation inventory management. This highly autonomous position will report directly to the Director of Maintenance and work closely with the Director of Supply Chain, Manager of Supply Chain Contracts, as well as the company safety department and local Flight Operations leadership.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering and other senior management in projecting a strong commitment to the uncompromising promotion of safety and regulatory compliance.
- Provide oversight of third-party maintenance provider ensuring contractual obligations are being met and operational performance expectations are being achieved.
- Assist in the creation of Airworthiness Agreements and Letters of Procedural Authority for the respective maintenance providers.
- Facilitate the addition of fueling vendors and on-call maintenance providers to the Learning Management System.
- Act as a liaison between ground operations and the company Safety and Security department.
- Collaborate with and assist Flight Operations leadership where necessary to achieve superior operational performance.
- Assist both the Director of Maintenance and Director of Supply in the development and achievement of performance KPI's.
- Drive continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all company required policies, practices, procedures, and processes.
- Compile and provide various reports and data packages as required or requested.
- Keep senior management appraised of all actual or potential negative conditions that may affect aircraft maintenance and ground operations.
- Maintains and submits the monthly MPL listing to the FAA Principle Maintenance Inspector.
- Responsible for maintaining and accomplishing the monthly review of the company Fueling Procedures Manual.
- Delegates duties as necessary, although this does not relieve the Manager of the responsibility.
- Monitor and improve outstation vendor safety and reliability performance.
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Airframe and Powerplant certification.
- Working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
- Experience with management and administration of service contracts and agreements.
- Valid driver's license.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, M&E.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
Preferred
- Advanced technical degree in Engineering, Aviation, Business Administration, or closely related discipline.
- At least five years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft with at least two of those years in a supervisory position.
- Experience with program management.
- Two years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Experience with Vendor Management and Contracts
