Responsibilities

• Utilize flux cored arc welding (FCAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) processes on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum structural shapes, tubing, and piping.
• Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments to precise dimensions for building and assembling using standard tools and materials.
• Collaborate with the lead welder to ensure accurate assessment of weld procedures, material types, and rod sizes for each project.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedural information is unavailable.
• Continuously strive to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.

• 5+ years of professional experience in FCAW welding with materials like stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Previous welding qualifications in accordance with governing codes such as AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.6, or ASME Section IX.

Work Environment

The team operates on a 6/11 schedule, from 6:30am to 6pm or 6:30pm to 6am, across Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. Work in a modern, climate-controlled facility equipped with advanced technologies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Cocoa, Florida.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
