We are seeking an experienced Structures Mechanic for an Defense Program working on various military aircrafts composite components and major structures. This position involves performing modifications and assembly tasks, with flexibility required to move between sections, address issues, rework components, and provide support as needed.

Defense Assembly Mechanic in Wichita, KS

Description:

1. Perform sheet metal and composite assembly for the production of the stealth aircraft, fighter jets, or military helicopters
2. Complete riveting, drilling, and countersinking to install components and fasteners for the fuselage
3. Complete sealing of aircraft structures and components
4. Self-inspect components and assemblies, including frames and skins, performing rework when necessary
5. Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

1.       Active Secret Clearance

1. Tools are NOT required

Pay:

1. Rate: $45.00/hr
2. OT: $67.50/hr
3. Per Diem split for those who qualify - $24.25/hr taxed + $20.75/hr untaxed

Work Schedule:

1.      Must be flexible on shift –contractors will be split between 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd

1.      We could let them know you’re not able to do 2^nd shift

Placement:

1.      12+ month Contract, with strong potential for extension

1.       We have current contractors that have been out there over 2 years at this point

2.       There will be opportunities to go direct if you’re interested, normally around the 6-month mark
