JOB TITLE: Sheet Metal - 2nd Shift

Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Shift: Monday Thursday, 4:00 PM 2:30 AM EST
Initial training will be conducted on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift. A 6 shift differential will apply once on 2nd shift.

Summary:
Support the manufacture, assembly, and refurbishment of aircraft parts and structures.
Focus on subassemblies for platforms such as the F-16, F-35, and C-130.
Assemble and/or refurbish aircraft parts such as F-16 and F-35 canopies and C-130 sub-assemblies
Use templates and fixtures to align parts on jigs
Perform part-fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working
Measure and verify parts using precision tools
Modify or repair assemblies as needed to incorporate changes
Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Monitor quality and assist in developing corrective actions
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
1 2 years of sheet metal experience required (aircraft experience not necessary open to any sheet metal background)
Prior experience as an Assembler and/or Aircraft Structures Mechanic is highly preferred
Experience with F-16, C-130, or F-35 aircraft is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively across all levels of the organization
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data
Comfortable using computers and systems to manage and update work-related data
Solid math skills to understand and perform calculations related to the work
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
