Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Hartford, CT that is a world leading manufacturer of business aircraft with a global network of service centers. They are committed to building their products with the future in mind – making them reliable and more efficient, while contributing to highly favorable operating costs. They masterfully design private jets and signature moments through an extensive portfolio of innovative products. The facility has received 21 consecutive FAA Diamond Awards and is actively involved in the Hartford community, spearheading programs to create awareness about aviation maintenance among local students and to help close the gender gap in the industry. We are looking for skilled Quality Inspector to assist with this clients production needs.
The Quality Inspector performs return to service process and approve aircraft for return to service in accordance with the applicable regulations as authorized and delegated by the repair station accountable manager.
Essential Functions:
- Adhere to General Work Requirements.
- Perform Return to Service process and approve aircraft for return to service in accordance with the applicable regulations as authorized and delegated by the repair station accountable manager.
- Upon A/C arrival, obtain associated documentation, inventory and secure all aircraft documents as required.
- Perform inspections of aircraft, engines, parts and components, precision tools, equipment and other materials in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Inspect aircraft maintenance and in-process inspections for repairs and alterations performed by Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to verify and/or approve corrective actions.
- Upon receipt, perform inspection of all new, repaired and rebuilt parts / components for evidence for physical damage, count and conformity
- Ensure that all work packages (orders and forms) as well as records of arrival (debrief checklist) and maintenance actions performed are documented accurately and that all specialized customer forms, and Bombardier and Learjet forms (i.e., RED, RFE & SRPSA) are documented accurately.
- Research aircraft drawings and technical data (i.e., REO, EO, DCN) as required.
- Perform walk around inspection of aircraft prior to release from maintenance when required.
- Assist customers as required.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Requirements
- 2 years bombardier exp or 3-5yrs business jet experience …no commercial (no exceptions)
- Must have at least 10 years overall exp
- Excellent computer skills
- Extremely motivated
- A&P certified
- They must have the ability to use a variety of measuring and basic hand tools to interpret/operate test equipment.
- To interpret/ process all relative (foreign & domestic) regulatory documents, actions and requirements and working knowledge of (FAA Regs, CAA. RSM/QCM, ADs, SBs, TCDS, etc)
