The UK Safran Electrical & Power team has expertise in designing and developing electrical systems comprising generators, power conversion, distribution and control, with developing expertise in electric motors for aircraft propulsion.

As a Quality Inspector at Safran Electrical & Power you will examine, inspect and measure goods and materials used within the aerospace industry. You will be proficient with using a multitude of test and precision measuring equipment, as well as manual hand tools such as torque wrenches, cutters, pliers and screwdrivers. You will demonstrate excellent judgement skills, passing or referring products to the Line Engineer and providing ideas for improvement when applicable.

The Role

•tInspect and measure goods on the manufacturing line.
•tPassing, referring or failing goods on the line as appropriate, keeping the Line Engineer informed with regular updates.
•tAbility to use a multitude of hand tools including screw drivers, pliers, torque wrenches, as well as precision measuring equipment.
•tIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement to work area and processes.
•tAbility to manually handle products weighing up to 25kg, using lift aides where appropriate.
•tCapability of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, layouts and related documentation at a high level.

Desirable Experience

We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we'd love to hear from you:

•\tExperience within a manufacturing environment.
•\tAbility to read engineering documents to a good level, including drawings and layouts.
•\tCapability of using manual tools and precision measuring equipment.
•\tAwareness of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards – desirable
•\tExperience using SAP would be useful but not essential
•\tAbility to read Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins and related documentation techniques.
•\tEvidence of written English at interview stage.
