Position Summary:
Level Three: Working under minimal supervision, level three quality Inspectors perform Final Inspection tasks demonstrating intermediate knowledge of shop math, print reading, measuring tools, product segregation, and quality reporting. Level three quality Inspectors demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills relating to production quality.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Performs Wire and Component Receiving Inspection.
- Performs In-process and FAI Inspections.
- Performs Final Product Testing (Shear, Tensile, Spindle Retention, Disassembly, Dimensional, and Performance testing).
- Identify, Reject, and Segregate Non-Conforming products.
- Creates Final Test Reports.
- Performs Shipping Inspection.
- Participation in Round Robin and Proficiency Testing.
- Pass Certifications in Primary Area + 10 Additional Areas (CL, CM, HTI, SPI, Wire, Shipping, Gage, etc) positions (Shipping, Rec, etc).
- Knowledge of Work Orders and PCPs.
- Perform all tasks of Levels 1 & 2.
- Ensures tools/equipment meet standards and calibration requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Skills:
- The ability to read and write English.
- The ability to perform shop math, fractions, decimals…
- The ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
- The ability to navigate the intranet to locate process documents - computer skills.
- The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions.
- Mechanical Testing experience (shear, tension, spindle retention, etc).
- Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as business needs demand.
Experience & Education
- Generally, 2-3 Years of Experience.
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.50 to $38.25 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
