In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at our Aiken, SC facility from June-August. Relocation will not be offered, and housing is not provided. The Combat Vehicles line of business within the Platforms & Services (P&S) Sector of BAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the assembly of armored military vehicles. We are looking for an Engineering student to join our Quality Team as an entry level intern. The Quality Assurance Intern will assist in the evaluation and improvement of supplier performance; ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, focusing on process optimization, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
As a Supplier Quality Assurance Intern, you will:
- Conducting site visits to assess supplier facilities, processes, and products
- Reviewing and analyzing supplier documentation, such as quality manuals and procedures
- Identifying and documenting supplier quality issues and developing corrective action plans
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements
- Assisting in the development and implementation of supplier quality metrics and dashboards
