Responsibilities:
- Perform structural repairs and overhauls on F-18 aircraft, ensuring compliance with precision and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and related subsystems.
- Interpret and apply technical data, such as blueprints, aircraft manuals, and maintenance instructions to conduct repairs and modifications.
- Execute close-tolerance drilling and precision measurements for structural assembly and part location.
- Use specialized tools such as torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and sheet metal brakes and shears.
- Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance documentation and logs as needed.
- Support workload prioritization to maintain project timelines and production schedules.
- Occasionally lead small teams on complex tasks and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Skills & Requirements:
- F-18 aircraft structural repair experience required.
- Proficiency in close-tolerance drilling and use of precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for part location and assembly.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance tools and test equipment.
