Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Field Service Representative to support the P-8A Poseidon at RAF Lossiemouth, Scotland, United Kingdom. The selected candidate will remain a U.S. Expat reporting to a U.S. Manager and be seconded to Boeing Defense United Kingdom after hiring, working with local Boeing Defense United Kingdom (BDUK) Management.
This is a Long-Term Assignment to United Kingdom for up to 3 years after initial familiarization training and visa processing. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Ability to meet international assignment health requirements required. If accompanied, family must also meet international assignment health requirements.
You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.
Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.
Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assisting with fault isolation, repair assistance and O-Level maintenance of P-8A aircraft systems, mission system equipment, airframe, and engines.
- Must be capable of interpreting technical documents and possess the ability to respond to operational issues in addition to being knowledgeable in the maintenance of both aircraft and mission systems.
- Conduct on-the-job and informal training for locally hired employees is also included in the position responsibilities.
- Expected to be available during normal base working hours and during off-hours to address emergency / Aircraft of Ground (AOG) situations.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at RAF Lossiemouth, Scotland.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on flight line maintenance experience, directly supporting the P-8 or 737NG.
- A current/active United States Passport.
- At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.
- At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Currently hold or have held an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Prior experience as an FSR supporting an aircraft weapon system.
- Hands-on aircraft experience with the P-3 or P-8 aircraft operations or sustainment.
- P-8 mission systems and operations expertise.
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance and parts manuals & engineering drawings, especially wiring diagrams.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and avionics problems/issues.
- Quality Assurance experience in an aircraft maintenance or production environment.
- Experience working with the US Navy.
- Experience working with the Royal Air Force (UK).
- Experience establishing a new operating base or site while working in austere conditions.
- Ability to work independently without direct oversight.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years of related work experience, 10 years of related work experience, etc.).
