Morson Edge is currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Technicians to support one of our clients in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled personnel with Tornado aircraft experience to join a high-performing team.
Job Purpose
To carry out airframe maintenance in accordance with PE1/PE2 servicing schedules, Modification Embodiments, unscheduled maintenance requirements, TCTOs and SIs on RSAF Tornado aircraft.
The successful candidate may be required to work outside normal trade boundaries in line with TPDMU Quality System requirements and provide operational support to the RSAF away from TPDMU as required.
Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Maintenance
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled airframe maintenance on RSAF Tornado aircraft
• Undertake disassembly, cleaning, inspection, rectification, reassembly, adjustment, testing, fault diagnosis and minor structural repairs
• Ensure all work carried out (or signed off) meets required quality and completeness standards
• Provide labour hour estimates as required
• Comply with TPDMU Quality System and RSAF Technical Orders
• Complete all required maintenance documentation and aircraft records
• Support programme timelines in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner
• Deliver on-the-job and theoretical training where required
• Deputise for the Supervisor when necessary
Training & Certification
• Maintain valid and current authorisations relevant to assigned tasks
• Proactively identify training requirements for self and team members
Quality Assurance
• Adhere strictly to TPDMU Quality System requirements and RSAF Technical Orders
Health & Safety
• Comply fully with TPDMU Health & Safety and Duty of Care policies
Recruitment Specification
Essential Qualifications
• Completion of a recognised trade apprenticeship
• Tornado aircraft maintenance course
• Tornado flight line experience
• Completion of a metal fabrication and structural repair course
• Working knowledge of Q-Pulse and DMS systems
• Understanding of M&CA processes
Essential Experience & Skills
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in trade specialism
• At least 2 years’ depth maintenance experience on Tornado IDS aircraft
• Current UK or Saudi driving licence
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in airframe repair and fabrication techniques
• Experience with RSAF documentation and procedures
• Proficient in PC use, including Microsoft Office
